*The published fuel consumption and CO2 emission figures are established according to legislated technical specifications (UNECE Regulation 101/UN Regulation 83 and SANS 20101 standards), which sets out the procedures that are used to measure the CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. The claimed figures are established using specific tests under standardised, carefully controlled conditions and may differ from consumption achieved under real world conditions with the influences of altitude, road surface, geographic conditions, vehicle options, temperature, humidity, tyres size and driving behaviour amongst others.

5.0 L/100KM
Innovative BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, common rail direct injection and aluminium lightweight construction make it possible. The redeveloped 4-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW X3 combines impressive performance with a further improvement in fuel economy and emissions. Particularly economical figures come from the entry model among the diesels, the BMW X3 xDrive20 d, with combined fuel consumption* of 5.0 and CO2 emissions of 131 g/km. The vehicle proves to be clearly more generous in terms of driving performance – it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h within 8.1 and has a top speed of 210 km/h. In contrast, the slightly larger engine of the BMW X3 xDrive30d achieves a maximum speed of 232 km/h and covers the dash from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Once again consumption and CO2 emissions remain extremely moderate: figures* of 5.7 l/100 km and 149 g/km speak for themselves. All figures were determined in accordance with the EU test cycle and depend on the selected tyre format.
